Tightening Sagging Skin

Anti-Aging (Tightening Sagging Skin)

Some people are blessed, looking 28 when they’re 40; while others aren’t as fortunate, looking over 30 in their 20s. As we age, our faces undergo two major changes. First, facial volume gradually diminishes; second, skin gradually slackens. In this article, we’ll talk about loose skin. Young faces are filled with elastic collagen. You’ll understand what I’m saying when you touch a child’s cheek. After we reach 20, collagen begins to gradually diminish, and the skin, lacking support, begins to sag. The most obvious areas are the upper eyelids, eyebrows, under-eye bags, cheeks, sides of the chin, and jowls (double chin).

The treatment method involves minimally invasive deep skin layering, prompting fibroblasts to regenerate new collagen, thereby tightening the skin. This minimally invasive procedure can be performed using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU, with a device named Ulthera), or Radio-frequency technology (RF, with a device named Thermage).

As for the use of PDO threads to achieve a tightening effect, we generally do not recommend this as it has more side effects and the maintenance time may only be a few months, making it not a great value for treatment.

Finally, there is facial lifting surgery. We believe that this treatment is more suitable for older individuals with extremely loose skin; although the effect is good, the surgical scars are often visible, so we have reservations about this procedure.
